You want to restore a deleted file in a repository? This is how it works:
Get a summary of all deleted files in your repo and copy the commit-ID. Then
restore it with the checkout.
git log --diff-filter=D --summary
git checkout commit-ID~1 filename
Hint: After the commit-ID is a tilde.
